Batch annealers for wires: pit and bell furnaces

Annealing or spheroidizing are processed by batch furnaces.
FIB Belgium owns solutions for productions from 1T per batch up to 75T per batch.
Two technologies may be considered according to the load to process: pit furnaces for marginally low capacities below 20 tons per day and bell furnaces from a production of 20 tons per day to more.
Subject to cycles all along their life, such equipment operating usually under neutral nitrogen, sometimes only under air and marginally under hydrogen reactive atmosphere, is especially designed to resist to fatigue.
The durability of the FIB bell furnaces has been demonstrated with large capacity bell furnaces operating in the well-known WDI German group for more than 25 years.
Recently FIB has upgraded its HMI (Human Machine Interface) system that is appreciated as being so ergonomic for operators.
The FIB design focuses as well on the guarantee of an homogeneous distribution of the heat and the protective atmosphere flow across the load that may vary very much when flexibility and a large portfolio of wire diameters must be processed simultaneously. Such a design allows reducing the cycle and guaranteeing a good metallurgical structure all across the load.
